James Stephens, the former publisher at Biteback Publishing, has been appointed executive editor of non-fiction at the ghostwriting and editorial services firm, Kevin Anderson & Associates (KAA). Stephens will take up his new post on 12th August 2025.
Stephens takes over the role from Adam Strange, who moves to become director of author strategy at the firm, which works with publishers, agents and authors in roles ranging from ghostwriting and editing manuscripts to publishing strategy and coaching.
Stephens commented: “I’m immensely proud of what I’ve achieved at Biteback over the last 16 years, helping grow the company into one of the country’s leading independent publishers of commercial non-fiction and working with political and business leaders from around the world to bring multiple bestsellers to market.
“However, I could not resist the opportunity to become part of an ambitious and fast-growing business with such an exceptionally talented group of publishing professionals. Most of all, I am looking forward to working with our authors to help them to create engaging and commercially rewarding new stories.”
Kevin Anderson commented: "We are all delighted to welcome James to KAA. He has an impressive breadth of knowledge and experience, not to mention a track record for launching bestselling books, and I know our clients will be delighted to find themselves in his very capable editorial hands.”
