    The YA Book Prize is the only literary prize for YA novels by authors based in the UK and Ireland. Launched by The Bookseller in 2014, the prize has been awarded four times: to Louise O’Neill in 2015 for Only Ever Yours (Quercus); Sarah Crossan in 2016 for One (Bloomsbury Children’s Books); Patrice Lawrence in 2017 for Orangeboy (Hodder Children's Books); and Will Hill in 2018 for After the Fire (Usborne). The winner is announced at Hay Festival, which is a partner of the prize.
