Sphere has acquired seven books in the North University and Drayton Hills series by self-published author Janisha Boswell in a "significant" pre-empt.
Senior commissioning editor Elisha Lundin acquired world all-language rights for both series from Silé Edwards at Andrew Nurnberg Associates.
Sphere will relaunch previously self-published titles Our Secret Moments and Our Secret Game (Drayton Hills series) in e-book in May, with paperback editions to follow. Falling (North University series) will be republished in e-book and paperback in September, while Unravelling (North University series) will be the first of four new titles in collaboration between Boswell and Sphere and will publish in e-book and paperback in February 2026.
There are three books in total in the North University series and four in the Drayton Hills series. All of Boswell’s books explore the lives of college students and feature “reader-favourite tropes, lots of heart and plenty of spice”.

Lundin commented: “Janisha’s confident voice, the emotional depth of her characters and her sheer passion and creativity blew me away. I have no doubt readers will be obsessed with her books – there’s something for every romance lover, from the perfect fake-dating hockey X ice skater romance in Falling, to an irresistible academic rivals-to-lovers in Unravelling. I have no doubt that Janisha will become a key voice in the romance genre with a very long and successful career ahead of her.”
Boswell said: “I’m beyond excited to be working with Elisha and the incredible team at Sphere on the North University and Drayton Hills series. After spending so much time with these characters, I can’t wait to reintroduce them to the world in a fresh, dynamic way. With the unwavering support from Silé, Elisha and their teams, I’ve never felt more confident in my work or more excited about the future with Sphere.”
Edwards added: “The first time I spoke to Elisha about Janisha’s books, I knew this would be a match made: it was like we had founded our own personal book club. The vision and passion that Sphere has for Janisha’s work is rivalled only by the emphatic support they have provided as she navigates traditional publishing. I am so excited to see Janisha’s writing career reach new heights.”
