William Collins, an imprint of HarperCollins UK, is set to publish US Vice-President JD Vance’s memoir on his faith. Publisher Arabella Pike negotiated UK and Commonwealth rights (excluding Canada) to Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith with WME. The book will be published in e-book and audiobook on 16th June and in hardback on 9th July.
Jonathan Burnham, president and publisher of the Harper Group, negotiated North American rights. The book will be published in the US in all formats on 16th June.
The publisher described the book as “an intimate account of why he strayed from the Christianity of his youth and what led him back to faith”. In the book, Vance reflects on how he regained his faith and recounts his conversion to Catholicism.
Vance said: “The story of how I regained my faith, of course, only happened because I had lost it to begin with. The interesting question that hangs over this book, and over my mind, is why I ever strayed from the path. Why the Christian faith of my youth failed to properly take root. I’m glad I found my way back to the Church.”
Pike said: “Communion will speak to so many readers searching for faith, connection and meaning in their lives. JD Vance’s deeply heartfelt story of doubt and regained belief resonates far beyond politics, offering a moving reflection on the questions that define this moment in public life.”
