Mirror Books acquires Su Pollard memoir
Mirror Books has acquired Fully Charged, the memoir of actor Su Pollard.
Clare Fitzsimons, commissioning editor at Mirror Books, acquired world English-language rights. The book has been written with Pollard’s friend and director Paul Boyd, and will be published in August 2026.
The memoir promises "never-before-told backstage anecdotes" alongside personal revelations including her marriage and family relationships, the night she danced with Princess Diana and an encounter with Freddie Mercury.
Pollard said: "I am relly excited to tell you all my story. The book is full of never-before-told backstage anecdotes, stories about my most famous shows on stage and screen, and tales of all the amazing stars I’ve been lucky enough to work with in over 50 years in showbiz. I’ve written everything down for the first time ever, and I have some fabulous adventures to share with you."
Fitzsimons said: "In the world of entertainment few are as truly entertaining as Su. A household name and favourite for decades, she constantly brings a smile to the faces of her fans. But also, for the first time, she’s revealing the real Su away from comedy, the ups and downs of an incredible life."
