Hamlyn, part of the Octopus Publishing Group, has acquired Eat Like a Greek: 100 Quick, Easy, Delicious Recipes by Greek-Cypriot, London-based food blogger Marina Georgallides.
Publisher Kate Fox, acquired world all-language rights from Lauren Gardner, assisted by Callen Martin at Bell Lomax Moreton, with publication scheduled for 7th May 2026 at £25.
In Eat Like a Greek, Marina Georgallides shares her journey to rediscover her Greek roots through 100 easy-to-follow Greek and Cypriot dishes from her childhood.
“Including the ultimate tzatziki recipe, her yiayiá’s halloumi bread and a showstopping chicken gyros, Marina combines family recipes passed down through generations with her own twist on the classics,” the publisher says.
“Readers will discover dishes for when you crave the comfort of home cooked food without fuss, like an easy one-pot orzo manéstra, her follower-favourite biftékia or the slow-cooked lamb kléftiko. And they can satisfy their sweet tooth with her easy no‐bake halva or indulgent olive oil ladópita. From delicious dips and salads to simple everyday dinners and desserts, these are recipes to share, savour and enjoy with every bite.”
Fox said: “I have loved trying out every one of Marina’s incredible recipes – including dishes I always thought were too complicated to try, but Marina’s hacks have made them easy. Eat Like a Greek is going to be the ray of sunshine we all need in 2026."
Georgallides commented: “It’s been such a pleasure developing this cookbook with all the incredible talent across Octopus book, and I cannot wait to share it with the world. I’ve poured every bit of enthusiasm into testing and perfecting the recipes in this book, many of which have been passed down from my grandma, and I just hope that they’re enjoyed just as much as I loved making them.”
