Gollancz signs 'major' seven-figure deal for a Witcher novel from Andrzej Sapkowski

Gollancz has signed a standalone novel in the Witcher series from Andrzej Sapkowski in a "major" seven figure deal. Gollancz will publish simultaneously with Orbit US. 

Publishing director Marcus Gipps and Tim Holman, president and publisher at Orbit, acquired world English rights from Patricia Pasqualini at Patricia Pasqualini Literary Agency. Crossroads of Ravens will be translated into English by David French, who previously translated six of the eight Witcher books, and will be published on 30th September 2025 in "one of the biggest fantasy publishing events of the year". Publication will be supported by a "coordinated global release". Crossroads of Ravens will be published simultaneously into the English language by Gollancz and Orbit US alongside 19 international publishers in their respective languages. It is the first Witcher novel to be published in English in seven years. 

The book is the "perfect entry point for new readers" and "unmissable" for fans. The story follows 18-year-old Geralt of Rivia, the "iconic Witcher", on his first mission from the Witcher stronghold, Kaer Morhen. Along the way, Geralt will discover monsters, some familiar faces and traitors.
