Watkins Publishing is to publish a book of BBC Radio 4’s long-running series “Prayer for the Day”, which offers daily 2-minute reflections to listeners.
The book will contain 365 reflections from a range of religious figures and broadcasters, including rabbis, lay preachers, Buddhists and Anglican and Catholic priests, who have contributed to the radio programme over the years. The reflections will be laid out in date order with content chosen specifically for that day.
Jo Lal, publisher at Watkins Publishing, said: “'Prayer for the Day' is a special programme, we are incredibly proud to be working with the team at Radio 4 on this project.”
BBC Radio 4’s “Prayer for the Day” is broadcast every day at 5.43am, with over half a million listeners tuning in. The 2-minute broadcasts combine traditional forms of prayer and reflection, from a variety of religions and denominations, focussing on contemporary issues and themes relating to specific dates.
