Walker Books Group will publish a new novel by Kate DiCamillo in the UK, the US and Australia.
Beverly, Right Here is the third book in a sequence which started with Raymie Nightingale in 2016 and continued with Louisiana’s Way Home in 2018. The new novel follows the third friend in the group, Beverly, who decides to leave home and is determined to make it on her own. She finds a job and a place to live and tries to forget about her friends, her dog and her mom, but despite her efforts to not depend on anyone, she can’t help forming connections with the people around her.
DiCamillo said: “Raymie Nightingale is about the saving grace of friendship. Louisiana’s Way Home is about deciding who you are. And Beverly, Right Here is about acting on that knowledge of who you are. They are all stories of becoming, I think.”
Karen Lotz, president and publisher of Candlewick Press and group m.d. of the Walker Books Group, acquired world rights in all languages from Holly McGhee at Pippin Properties
UK publication is set for 26th September in hardback (£10.99).
