Academic publisher Sage has launched a further five journals, expanding its publishing collaboration with its Cairo-based partner Hindawi Publishing Corporation.
The five new titles: Journal of Nucleic Acids; Stem Cells International; Journal of Amino Acids; International Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, and the International Journal of Evolutionary Biology are already live on the SAGE-Hindawi platform.
All five titles will be fully open access, and for an initial period, there will be no author fee charged for accepted papers.
Sage-Hindawi are still "actively commissioning" further journals, with what the two companies described as "ambitious growth plan in place for the year".
David Ross, business development manager at Sage, said the partnership, which was set up in 2007, aimed to "establish high quality, highly-ranked journals”.
He added: “The editorial procedures, including the peer review process, are robust, and our long-term aim is to publish research of the highest quality. We’re confident that these new titles are in fields where there is a high volume of research activity and funding available to support open access publishing.”
