Podcast recordings of Richard and Judy’s Summer Book Club for W H Smith have been listened to more than 100,000 times on iTunes.

Six episodes of the Book Club podcast have been released to date, which feature interviews between Richard and Judy and the Summer Book Club authors.

The Summer Book Club titles include Sarah Winman's When God Was A Rabbit and The Death Instinct by Jed Rubenfeld, The Poison Tree by Erin Kelly, The Novel in The Viola by Natasha Solomons, The Return of Captain John Emmett by Elizabeth Speller, The Confessions of Katherine Howard by Suzannah Dunn and Every Last One by Anna Quindlen. The podcasts also feature a half-price offer code on the review title.

Richard Madeley said: “We’re absolutely thrilled that so many people have downloaded our podcast. It’s great to be able to share the Book Club with a digital audience and we hope that through the podcast we’re bringing our love of books to a whole host of new people and encouraging more people to read”.

Judy Finnigan added: “There really is something for everyone in our Summer Book Club and I think the podcast is a great way to share more detail about each book and the authors and help people choose titles which are just right for them”.

The next podcast is available for download now and features Elizabeth Speller, author of The Return of Captain John Emmett.

The podcasts can be downloaded from here and are in addition to Richard and Judy’s online reviews and video footage of them with the authors on the W H Smith website.
