Quarto bolsters campaigns and marketing team with Basset and Price

The Quarto Group has appointed Viviane Basset and Dannie Price to its UK campaigns and marketing team.

Basset will join as campaigns director from Hachette UK where she spent five years as marketing director for the Headline publishing group. She will lead a team of nine marketers and publicists from early November 2019. She previously worked in marketing and publicity for Penguin Group, Pan MacMillan and HarperCollins Publishers.

Basset said: “Quarto has an incredibly rich and varied list of titles and imprints and I look forward to working with their talented team and reaching new readers eager to learn, discover and enjoy a great read.”

Price will start at Quarto from early September as deputy head for children’s marketing and will report in to Bassett. Price spent two years as campaign manager at Egmont Publishing and she has built the online community for educational game “Teach Your Monster How To Read” for Usborne.
