Pavilion Books imprint Pitkin is rushing out a book about Prince Harry's engagement to American actress Meghan Markle: Harry & Meghan: A Royal Engagement.
Hot on the heels of the couple's engagement announcement on Monday (27th November) which followed months of rumours, the latest title in Pitkin’s Royal Collection by Halima Sadat will be publishing in just two weeks' time on 14th December 2017 as "a very special new royal souvenir in celebration of this truly modern love story".
It will include official engagement photographs, as well as other images, offering "revealing insight" into the differing lives of Prince Harry and Markle that helped shape their characters and providing "a souvenir for royalists around the world to treasure".
Prince Harry is fifth in line to the British throne, while Markle, from LA, is best known for her role as paralegal Rachel Zane in US legal drama "Suits".
Susan Swalwell, Pitkin publisher, said: “Pitkin’s first ever release, Princess Elizabeth’s Wedding Day, was published in 1947 to mark Queen Elizabeth’s wedding. In the same year that we publish a 70th anniversary facsimile edition of that very first book, we are delighted to be issuing a lavishly illustrated souvenir of the newest of royal love stories.”
Pitkin has world rights in all languages and will publish Harry & Meghan: A Royal Engagement in paperback, priced £7.99, on 14th December.
Princess Elizabeth’s Wedding Day, the platinum anniversary edition, has been released as a £5 paperback.
