Parragon is to publish a series of activity and sticker books based on Mattel’s Ever After High brand.
Ever After High is a boarding school where the children of classic fairy tale characters choose to either "follow their parents' fabled footsteps or discover their own Happily Ever After". Mattel produces a series of dolls for the brand and licenses out publishing and TV rights.
Starting in August, Parragon will publish a series of Ever After High books in the UK, US, Canada and Australia. The range includes Ever After High Fairy Tale Activities (p/b £4.99, August), Ever After High Draw, Dream, Create Sketchbook (p/b £5.99, November), and Ever After High Book of Destiny (h/b£7.99, November).
The publisher will then launch notebooks, gift cards and organisers in 2015.
“The Ever After High brand provides an exciting publishing opportunity for Parragon, and we are looking forward tolaunching a dynamic, multi-territory publishing programme,” said Parragon publishing director Paul Gregory. “Mattel has created a property that, with its unique tone and style, and grown-up glam appeal, translates perfectly into publishing.”
In the UK, Little, Brown publishes Ever After High novels for children, authored by Sharon Hale. The TV animation is produced by Guru Studio.
