Weidenfeld & Nicolson has bought world rights to a second instalment of memoirs from radio presenter Danny Baker.
Alan Samson, non-fiction publisher at Weidenfeld, acquired the book in a deal with Alex Armitage of Noel Gay Artists.
The publisher released Baker's first autobiography, Going to Sea in a Sieve, in 2012. It covered his life from childhood into his wild teenage years, ending just before he began his career in TV.
The new volume, Going Off Alarming, will recount his experiences in TV, hosting gameshows, talk shows, and Daz commercials.
Baker said: "My intention with these books is to provide a kind of rock-and-roll version of David Niven’s great The Moon’s a Balloon memoirs—just rattling off terrific tales from what I believe has been a frankly crackpot life. In this volume I bounce all about British TV with such success that I wind up in radio."
It will be published on 24th October 2013 as a hardback, priced at £18.99, and an e-book, priced at £9.99.
