Accent Press is set to launch a series of business books, Million Pound Mum, designed to target budding female entrepreneurs who are also mothers.
The first in the three-book series, How to be a Million Pound Mum by Starting Your Own Business, is out on 6th June, priced £9.99. The second and third books are How to be a Million Pound Mum—25 Great Business Ideas, published on 1st August, and How to be a Million Pound Mum and Still Have Great Kids, published on 3rd October.
The series struck a personal chord with Accent Press founder Hazel Cushion, who founded the publisher—on track to turnover £1m in sales this year—10 years ago: she had six-year-old triplets at the time.
Cushion said the series was aimed at the growing number of mothers who wanted to run their own businesses but didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to do so.
She said: “Being a Million Pound Mum is a state of mind, not just a financial goal. Some of the mums featured in the books have reached the million-pound turnover; others are well on the way. It’s all about the self-belief, having the confidence in yourself and the tenacity to believe that your idea is capable of achieving a million-pound turnover.”
