Book trade 'disappointed' but understanding as LBF cancelled due to coronavirus

The book trade has expressed disappointment at the cancellation of the London Book Fair (LBF) but accepted that it was the "right call", as the UK works on containment of the coronavirus outbreak.

LBF announced its decision to cancel its event owing to coronavirus on Wednesday (4th March). With the fair scheduled to take place 10th–12th March at Kensington Olympia, organiser Reed Exhibitions cancelled with less than a week to go, after a flurry of cancellations saw the Big Five publishers, agencies and indie publishers pull out.
