Joe Yule and Katie Packer have been promoted as part of Headline Publishing’s strategy for non-fiction expansion.
Yule, previously senior marketing manager, has been promoted to head of campaigns while Packer has become senior commissioning editor. Formerly she was commissioning editor. The promotions have been made with immediate effect.
Non-fiction publishing director Sarah Emsley said: “The non-fiction team at Headline is enjoying a continued period of growth, creativity and success, and Katie Packer is a hugely dynamic and much-valued member of that team. From groundbreaking hits such Love In Colour... to finger-on-the-pulse acquisitions such as Keep the Receipts and The Girls Bathroom, as well timely US buy-ins including How to Save a Life and Lil’Kim, Katie is building an enviable list here at Headline.
"Proactive, full of ideas and ever-generous with her time, she has proven herself to be both a commissioning powerhouse and a passionate advocate for increased diversity and inclusivity within our industry.”

Joe approaches campaigns with a passion for eye-catching creative and irresistible copy and can clearly pinpoint what needs to be done to find audiences for our authors."
He added: “In his new role, Joe will expand his remit to work across all Headline marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on non-fiction campaigns across Headline non-fiction, Wildfire and Tinder Press.
