Headline has acquired The Crystal Maze Challenge, the first official tie-in to the new series of the cult Channel 4 quiz show "The Crystal Maze", to publish on 19th October.
The book will contain 100 games, "mind benders" and riddles, which have been written by the team behind the series, Neale Simpson with Anna Kidd, Chris Lore, Meral Taze and Toby Smith.
"Test your skill, mental and physical abilities as you try to leap around your living room without touching the floor, solve puzzles and brainteasers, and complete treasure hunts around the house, guided all the while by Maze Master Richard Ayoade," urges Headline.
Extra content will include trivia about the original series for fans of the show.
Headline publishing director, Sarah Emsley acquired world rights from RDF Rights via Adrian Sington. She said: "The Crystal Maze is television gold and we couldn’t be more delighted to be publishing this fantastic book to tie into the glorious return of the show. We are certain that come Christmas living rooms across the lands will be transformed into spectacular domes, and you won’t even need a hairdryer. Start the fans please."
Simpson, creative director of Fizz, said: “Bringing back this incredible show has been a huge privilege and we’ve had so much fun creating all kinds of weird and wonderful new games for the series. The chance for us to come up with even more mind-bending mental, mischievous mystery, fiendish physical and slapstick skill games for people to play at home was an opportunity too good to miss."
