Harlequin has inked a five-book deal with romance author Virginia Heath.
The deal includes a new series, The King’s Elite, and first of the new novels will be published in 2018.
Linda Fildew, senior editor for historical romance at the HarperCollins imprint Harlequin and Mills & Boon, acquired world rights from Kate Nash of the Kate Nash Literary Agency.
The books will be published by Harlequin Historical in the US and M&B Historical in the UK.
Heath is a former history teacher who lives near London. She was first published in 2013 by M&B. Her third novel, Discerning Gentleman's Guide, was shortlisted for a RONA (Romantic Novel of the Year Award).
