Catherine Cobain, associate publisher at Headline, is to join Transworld as editorial director with special responsibility for commercial women's fiction.
Transworld said Cobain would develop "a key strategic role within the company" and become a member of the Publishing Strategy Board. Cobain has been at Headline for six years and was instrumental in setting up and managing the Little Black Dress imprint. In her new role she will work
closely with senior editorial director Linda Evans and report to publisher Bill Scott-Kerr.
Scott-Kerr said Cobain's "expertise in the field of women's fiction will be invaluable as we seek to strengthen that area of the list in years to come," calling her "a great addition to an already strong team."
