Canongate signs Bolinda deal for library audiobooks

Canongate has joined forces with audio publisher Bolinda to make its audiobooks available to libraries in a new partnership.

From 1st August, works by authors including Matt Haig, Margaret Atwood, Barack Obama, and Yann Martel will be available exclusively through Bolinda and its Borrowbox library download app.

Bolinda will be supplying multiple formats including digital, CD and MP3CD. Trade CD and MP3CD will also be available from Bolinda via bookshops.

Jamie Byng, c.e.o. of Canongate, said: “Jo Lord and I are delighted that we will be working so closely with Bolinda to bring Canongate’s rich audio list to an even wider audience, especially within the vital and vibrant library sector. We have been very impressed by the passion of Rebecca and all of her talented and experienced team and I’m sure this will be the start of an extremely fruitful partnership.”

Rebecca Herrmann, Bolinda’s founder, added: “We are super excited to be partnering exclusively with Jamie Byng and the Canongate team on their superb audiobook catalogue.”
