Amazon has removed international access to its Android Appstore, after it became briefly available to international customers overnight.
Some of the retailer's customers in India, Australia and the UK were able to access the store, which sells apps for Android-enabled devices like Samsung and HTC smartphones, although no journalists at The Bookseller were able to access the appstore from its London office. The move raised speculation that Amazon would be launching its Kindle tablet device imminently.
However, several technology sites are reporting that those who previously had access are unable to get into the store.
