Olivia Laing talked about her latest work of non-fiction, The Garden Against Time: In Search of A Common Paradise, publishing on 2nd May 2024, and acclaimed poet Antrobus read from his forthcoming poetry collection, Signs, Music (12th September 2024) with BSL interpreter Pettra St Hilaire, which explores imminent fatherhood and the birth of a child.
Marvin Rees, the mayor of Bristol, spoke to the audience about Let’s See What Happens: The Last Mayor of Bristol (22nd August 2024), which chronicles the challenges and opportunities he faced as mayor before Sarah Moss spoke to Bright about My Good Bright Wolf (29th August 2024), a “boundary-breaking memoir about the battleground of the female body”.
Tim Winton, spoke on screen about his next novel Juice, publishing on 13th October 2024 and Hollinghurst finished the evening with an exclusive early reading from Our Evenings, publishing on 3rd October 2024.
