Independent publisher 404 Ink has launched the new wave of its non-fiction series Inklings, fresh from the series’ shortlisting for Marketing Strategy of the Year at the British Book Awards 2022.
Following the 2021 list, the eight new titles aim to "capture big ideas in compact packages" and will publish from summer 2022 through to March 2023, before moving to releasing one title every two months. A pre-order campaign will go live today (4th April) on Kickstarter.
The series was inaugurated last year after a successful crowdfunding campaign raised £20,000, supported by Creative Scotland.
“After putting Inklings into motion early in the pandemic, it has been really exciting to watch the series come to life and see what the authors and their work have gone on to achieve," said Heather McDaid, co-founder and publishing director. "We’re so thrilled to be back with the second wave of the series, each promising to be as insightful, vital and informative as their predecessors and continue to build on the brilliant launch titles. We can’t wait to introduce readers to our new authors and their writing, and remain as grateful as ever that such a talented group are trusting us with their work and stories.”
