Children's Conference 2025

Affectionately known as KidsConf, The Bookseller’s Children’s Conference returned to County Hall on Monday 29th September with a timely theme: 2030 Vision: Making the Most of a Year of Reading. 

Five years on from the world-changing events of 2020, what do today’s children and their families really need from the book trade? As the first generation of lockdown babies enters the classroom, how have their experiences shaped the way they read, learn, and engage with stories?  And crucially how can our industry lead the way in responding, not just keep up?

This one-day event brought together the brightest minds from across publishing and beyond to tackle the sector’s most urgent issues. Authors, editors, librarians, booksellers, teachers, agents and book trade professionals across the industry, gained fresh insight, actionable ideas, and meaningful connections to help shape the future of children’s books.
