All staff members at academic library supplier Lindsay and Croft, part of the YBP group, are expected to leave the company following a relocation decision by US parent company Baker & Taylor.
Staff at the Godalming-based company have been told that their office will move to Bicester in Oxfordshire, joining Baker & Taylor Marketing Services, in a phased transfer to be completed by this August.
It is believed that the 40-strong workforce have been given the choice of moving or redundancy, and that none of the employees expect to make the move. Some staff have expressed concerns about a lack of financial support to assist relocation.Lindsay and Croft is currently advertising for various bibliographer positions at an Oxfordshire location.
Tim Coates, who has been UK general manager of YBP since last November, refused to comment.
