Pavilion Books has bought a Creole cookbook by Vanessa Bolosier.
Senior commissioning editor Emily Preece-Morrison bought world rights to Creole Kitchen from Elise Dillsworth at the Elise Dillsworth Agency.
Inspired by Bolosier’s childhood in the French Caribbean, the recipes will reflect her Guadeloupian and Martiniquan.
Preece-Morrison said: “We are very excited to be publishing Vanessa's first book. Caribbean cuisine is emerging as a new trend, and Vanessa is a rising star of the Creole food scene. Her bubbling enthusiasm for her subject is matched only by her in-depth knowledge of the food. Her book is sure to inspire everyone to get into the kitchen and discover the sunshine and fun of Caribbean cooking for themselves. Caribbean Creole cooking is notable for its simple, delicious flavours, fantastic seafood, always accompanied by a naughty splash of rum - it's good time food at its best.”
Bolosier is founder of confectionary brand Coco Gourmand.
Creole Kitchen will be published in May 2015.
