Tom Conway, digital marketing manager at HarperCollins Children’s Books, has been promoted to the newly-created role of digital publishing manager. Conway joined HC as a graduate trainee in 2005 and during his time at HarperCollins has been responsible for the Skulduggery Pleasant online and social network campaigns, Jez Alborough’s Duck in the Truck iphone application, and has headed up the division’s print on demand digital publishing initiative.
In his new role, Conway will manage the division’s programme of e-books, enhanced books and apps. He will report to publisher Ann-Janine Murtagh. His replacement as digital marketing manager has not yet been announced.
In other promotions within the division, former head of design James Stevens is promoted to art director, and category manager for properties, Richard Haines, will take on the newly created role of brand development manager.
