Independent publisher Choc Lit has bought the world rights to two debut romance novels.
Choc Lit director Lyn Vernham acquired both titles direct through from the authors for publication in late 2012.
Up Close by Henriette Gyland [pictured left] is a romantic suspense story in the tradition of Hitchcock which won the New Talent Award at this year's Festival of Romance, while The Road Back by Liz Harris [pictured right] is "a sumptuous tale of love and adventure" set in both Tibet and the UK.
Vernham said: “The brand enables us to support debuts. Folks don't just buy one Choc Lit novel, they often read our entire list. There are some extremely talented authors who are getting overlooked because they have no agent. With our Tasting Panel reviewing manuscripts we are able to accept direct submission.”
