Jonathan Cape has revealed the cover for Helen Fielding's forthcoming Bridget Jones novel, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
The book, which will be published on 10th October 2013, will be the third Bridget Jones novel. The first book, Bridget Jones' Diary, was published in 40 counties and sold 15 million copies worldwide. Along with its sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, it was turned into a film starring Renée Zellweger, Hugh Grant and Colin Firth.
The latest instalment will bring the character into contemporary London, dealing with "the nightmare of drunken texting, the skinny jean, the disastrous email cc, total lack of Twitter followers, and TVs that need 90 buttons and three remotes simply to turn on".
The cover features a woman sat on a stool, next to a pair of high-heeled shoes and a teddy bear, toy giraffe, and toy dinosaur. It was released via social media, after 117,000 fans "liked" the Bridget Jones Facebook page.
