Bonnier Publishing imprint Blink has acquired a fourth book by vlogger Alfie Deyes: Pointless Book 3.
Perminder Mann, c.e.o. of Kings Road Publishing, acquired world all language rights from Abigail Bergstrom at talent management company Gleam Futures and will publish in July.
Pointless Book and Pointless Book 2 have sold over half a million copies between them and continue to sell over a 1,000 copies a week, according to Blink's figures. The Scrapbook of My Life was his third book, published in March 2016. Nielsen BookScan puts Deyes' total UK print sales at 633,945 books for £3.9m, with The Pointless Book selling 350,811.
Pointless Book 3 comprises brand new challenges, activities and interactive pages, a refreshed design and an app with "ground-breaking" features and exclusive videos. Together, the four book apps to accompany Deyes’ previous books have had more than 600,000 downloads, Blink said.
Deyes has committed to a UK book tour with details to be announced at a later date.
