Personal development superstar Vex King will return to his original publisher Hay House UK for a "much-anticipated" sequel to his 2018 breakout debut, Good Vibes, Good Life.
Hay House publisher and MD Michelle Pilley bought world English rights in a "multi-six-figure" deal from Jane Graham Maw at Graham Maw Christie. The as-yet-untitled book will be released at the end of 2026. Pilley – who originally acquired Good Vibes, Good Life in 2017 – said that it was "incredibly exciting to be working with Vex again".
King is one of Britain’s biggest-selling homegrown authors of the past decade in the self-help space. He has sold nearly £8m through NielsenIQ BookScan UK – £4.5m of which derives from Good Vibes, Good Life – and Hay House said he has been translated into 42 languages. King left Hay House in 2022 for a multi-book deal with Pan Macmillan imprint Bluebird.
Hay House, the independent founded by the late Louise Hay in 1984, was acquired by Penguin Random House in 2023. Hay House UK continues to run as a discrete entity and reports directly to PRH US.
King said: "Hay House isn’t just a publisher to me; it’s home. I’m thrilled to return to the place where some of my best work was born, and even more excited about what’s ahead. I truly believe I’m creating my most impactful project yet, and with Hay House’s support, we’ll bring it to life for my audience in the ways that matter most."
