Solaris signs Joan Tierney's eco-fantasy

Solaris has signed Joan Tierney’s eco-fantasy What Comes from Picking Flowers for release in spring 2027.

Editor Amy Borsuk acquired UK and British Commonwealth rights, excluding Canada, from Lauren Bajek at Liza Dawson Agency. The novel will be published in the US as Misery’s Wife in summer 2026. 

What Comes from Picking Flowers follows a young woman who sets out on an “adventure through magical realms, where she must break curses and survive impossible trials” until she receives a message from one of her long-lost sisters, begging to be rescued from her husband, the King of Misery. 

Tierney commented: “I’m so excited to be working with Amy and the incredible team at Solaris, who have worked tirelessly on getting this book to the masses. What Comes from Picking Flowers was a labour of love and a dedication to sisterhood, and I can’t wait to share it.”
