Century wins three-way auction for 'landmark’ book on UFOs
Century has acquired Not For Disclosure, “the most serious and sourced book ever published on the subject of UAPs (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena), previously known as UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects)”, by barrister Jonathan Caplan KC.
Publishing director Ben Brusey bought world rights from Ruth Cairns at Featherstone Cairns. The book will be published in June 2026.
For five decades, Caplan has been pulling together an “extraordinary” body of evidence about the existence of UAPs, and what he believes to be “the world’s greatest-ever cover up” the publisher says, continuing that public perception of the UAP issue changed radically in July 2023 when David Grusch – a former Air Force intelligence officer – went under oath on live television and claimed that the United States was in possession of crashed non-human craft.
“Pressure is mounting for the full story to be told, and Not For Disclosure will become a landmark book on a subject that the public can no longer ignore,” Century continues.
“In his quest for the full story, Caplan has travelled over the years to meet inside sources, including scientists, politicians, intelligence officers and ex special forces, in Washington, Israel and elsewhere. He has collated a vast amount of material from those in official positions who have trusted him and who have been prepared to talk confidentially about the subject.

“Over the last 50 years he has met and befriended most of the key individuals. His book will be a detailed, up to date and in many ways shocking account of this fundamental and disturbing subject. It will pull together the strands of the phenomenon. It will raise the debate.”
The book will include “significant” new material, including information about John F Kennedy and also about secret meetings held by President Harry Truman and Secretary of Defence James Forrestal. There will also be “important and previously unpublished documents” from the Majestic 12 group as well as new photos.
Caplan said: “We live in a world where most of us are prepared to accept, because of faith or practice, a deity or a spiritual power. Many people do so even though there is no proof or even a rational basis for such a belief system. It has always struck me as curious that if the topic of non-human intelligences (NHIs) outside of this belief structure is raised then it is rejected without consideration.
“This book seeks to give an account of those NHIs who are allegedly visiting or co-existing with us and who have been doing so for some time. It also seeks to provide some access to the vast body of material that supports their existence and to assess the most reliable evidence.”
Brusey said: “50% of the British public believe in extraterrestrials. In the US, this number is even higher at 65%. UAPs are not a fringe issue and Jonathan Caplan is not a conspiracy theorist.
