DK has signed a trio of titles by the BOSH! cookery brand founders, Henry Firth and Ian Theasby, in a "hotly contested" auction. The duo, who have been the UK’s biggest-selling vegan-specialist cookbook authors since the publication of their breakout debut in 2018, have previously published seven titles with HQ.
Cara Armstrong, DK editorial director, bought world rights to More Plants: 30-minute Plant-based Meals and two other books from C&W’s Sarah Ballard.
The publisher said that More Plants was "the ultimate inspiration for those who follow a plant-based diet, flexitarians wanting to get more plants on their plates and people who simply want to boost their weekly ‘plant points’ with ease".
Firth and Theasby are the founders of the Sheffield-based media cookery brand, which initially rose to fame in the mid-2010s on YouTube. Their launch title, BOSH!, has shifted more than one million units globally.
Firth and Theasby said: "[More Plants] is the result of nearly 10 years of writing plant-rich recipes. It’s our best release yet because it makes hitting 30 plants a week simple, achievable and delicious."
Armstrong added: "We have loved bringing to life [Firth and Theasby’s] vision for the future of BOSH! and I am excited for DK to play a part in their lifelong mission of getting more plants on more plates. BOSH! make plant-based eating effortless and seriously delicious."
More Plants will launch on 12th February in the UK next year, with US publication to follow on 3rd March.
