Transworld has promoted two senior press officers, Hannah Bright and Tom Hill, into managerial roles.
Bright joined three years ago and has been promoted from senior press officer to publicity and events manager. Previously she worked at Waterstones through which she gained "particular understanding of the bookselling community which has proved to be enormously valuable to us as a business” according to Alison Barrow, PR director at Transworld. "She will continue to deliver her outstanding work on PR campaigns – to include those upcoming with Lost Voice Guy, Ella Risbridger and Melanie Cantor," Barrow said.
Meanwhile Hill has been appointed to publicity manager from senior press officer after starting in the department almost four years ago. "Tom has proved himself an effective PR campaign manager, working independently to create sales-driving campaigns across some of our biggest success stories over the last year,” Barrow said. Hill has worked with writers such as Jason Fox, Shari Lapena and Fiona Barton.
Barrow added:: "He is an exemplary, methodical colleague who is forging excellent and valuable relationships with authors, agents, booksellers, media. His promotion recognises his demonstrable skills in handling complex tours and schedules to outstanding effect."
