Thomson and Clee launch BookBrunch

<p><em>The Bookseller&#39;s</em> former editor Nicholas Clee and the former editor of <em>Publishing News</em> are to launch an online book blog, covering book trade news, rights deals, and &quot;of course&quot;, in the words of Thomson, &quot; the people and the parties&quot;.</p><p>BookBrunch will go live next week. Both former editors will be at the Frankfurt Book Fair covering the trade event for the website.</p><p>The duo aim to turn what will initially be a free service into a subscription wire. In a letter sent out to publicise the site, Thomson stated that the plan was to build a &quot;community&quot; site.<br /><br />Thomson was editor of <em>Publishing News </em>before it was closed this summer. Clee was for 15 years book news editor of <em>The Bookseller</em> before becoming editor in 1999. He left <em>The Bookseller</em> in 2004.</p>
