Netflix has won an auction for screen rights to Lost Dog: A Love Story by journalist Kate Spicer (Ebury).
The book, published last year following a pre-empt, tells the story of how Spicer was saved by the arrival of her rescue dog Wolfy and how her life transformed again when the pet went missing.
Becoming a Sunday Times bestseller on its release, the book follows Spicer as she hunts for the dog, finding allies amongst psychics, bloggers and mysterious midnight joggers.
The Netflix series will be produced by Lynn Harris and Matti Leshem at Weimaraner Republic, with “Traitors” writer Bash Doran on board to adapt, Deadline reported.
