Writers Michael Rosen, Benjamin Zephaniah and Jamila Gavin, and actress and writer Meera Syal, are all to become patrons of Tamarind Books. The four will give support and act as ambassadors for the cultural-diversity specialist children's imprint.
Tamarind was bought into Random House Children's Books in 2007, with founder Verna Wilkins remaining as a patron and consultant to the list.
RHCB m.d. Philippa Dickinson said: "We have expanded our fiction list for Tamarind and have exciting plans over the coming year. The team is thrilled about the support of our patrons. It's an honour to add their voices and names to our list."
