The London Review Bookshop celebrated its 15th birthday on Thursday 17th May, after turning a profit for the first time since it opened.

 

Hannah Begbie was awarded the Romantic Novelists' Association's Joan Hessayon Award for new writers for her novel Mother (HarperCollins). The ceremony took place on Thursday 17th May. 

 

On Wednesday 16th May, the Pan Macmillan team and author Peter James centre hosted book buyers at James’ house in Brighton, to celebrate the publication of his latest novel Dead If You Don’t.

 

The shortlist for the 2018 Klaus Flugge Prize was announced at Foyles, Charing Cross Road on Tuesday 15th May. L-R Klaus Flugge, Lauren Child, Edward Underwood, Kate Milner and Makus Motum.

Egmont held an office party to celebrate its 140th birthday on Tuesday 15th May.

 

Illustrator Axel Scheffler was among the guests at the Barnes Children's Literature Festival 2018, which took place on the weekend beginning 12th May.
