Imogen Hermes Gowar celebrated the launch of her debut novel The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock (PRH) at Hatchards Piccadilly on Thursday 25th January.
Guests included Charles Burns, the silhouette artist, and Chloe Healy, head of marketing at Vintage.
Lucy Rowland far left and Ben Mantle far right celebrated the launch of their new picture book Little Red Reading Hood (Macmillan Children’s Book) at The Bright Emporium in Clapham on Thursday 25th January. Speeches were made by associate publisher Penny Morris centre left and senior agent Arabella Stein.
Julia Donaldson held a workshop for children from River Beach Primary School in Littlehampton to give them an opportunity to explore deaf characters and how they are portrayed in her books and that of Italian author Rosa Tiziano Bruno.
Author Jonathan Stroud centre has been revealed this month as Beechwood Park School's first ever Patron of Reading. He is pictured alongside the school’s headmaster Edward Balfour and librarian Liz Green.
