Quarto has appointed Alli Brydon as publisher of children’s books for the North American market. She will be based in London and report to Peter Marley, associate group publisher, Quarto Children’s.
Brydon has more than 20 years’ experience across the US and UK children’s publishing industries, and she has held senior roles at Sterling Publishing, Priddy Books and the Bright Agency (US).
For the past eight years, she has run her own creative studio, working with publishers including Scholastic, National Geographic Kids, Wonderbly, Macmillan and Disney. She is also the author of multiple children’s books and recently founded her own publishing company, Brydon Books, launching the interactive Draw This Book series in 2025.
Brydon is originaly from New York and moved to the UK in 2018 and has since worked across both markets. In her new role she "will shape and lead a publishing programme tailored to the US and Canada".
She said: “I could not have imagined a role more perfectly suited to my experience, nor a place as inspiring as Quarto to make children’s books. It’s a dream come true to work with brilliant colleagues on both sides of the Atlantic to deliver a publishing programme for my original home market.”

Her deep knowledge of both the US and UK markets, paired with her creative and commercial strengths, makes her the ideal person to lead our North American children’s publishing strategy. Alli’s appointment reflects our strong commitment to growth in this key region.”
