Michael Joseph is to publish Nadiya’s Family Favourites in June to tie-in with her new primetime BBC Two cookery series.
World rights to Nadiya Hussain's book were bought by editorial director Ione Walder from Anne Kibel at AK Artist Management.
The book will see Hussain explore how food "fits, enriches, and defines" our lives, offering "fast, easy and delicious" new ideas for whatever each day brings. Hussain will meet home cooks around the UK, discovering their family food stories and all-time favourite dishes. "Warm, inclusive and celebratory, her new book and series will show us how to create the perfect dishes to compliment the kind of days we all love, from days out with friends to family get togethers and lazy weekends at home", said the publisher.
The book contains over 100 "comforting and delicious" recipes that will give you a taste of home and "promise to become new family favourites": Mocha swirls, smoky spinach shakshuka, spinach and paneer kati rolls, halloumi curry, chocolate éclair roll, peanut honeycomb banana cake, back-to-front cheesecake and others.
Hussain said: "For me, food is all about the people we love and the memories we make with them. My new book and TV series will give you a taste of how my family and I eat our way through life, with food for every kind of day – from the weeknight staples we rely on, to lazy Sunday treats and special feasts for feeding a crowd. I hope these recipes will become favourites in so many homes, just as they have in mine.”
Walder added: “Millions of viewers enjoyed Nadiya’s debut series last year and loved cooking and eating her recipes. So it’s no surprise that she’s back with another series and another gorgeous book, full of easy, delicious, family-friendly food. With three growing kids, a big extended family and a very busy diary, Nadiya knows what it’s like to juggle the demands of everyday life, so who better to help us put great food on our table every single day?”
Michael Joseph will publish Nadiya's Family Favourites on 14th June.
