Macmillan Children's Books has acquired the tie-in publishing licence for the upcoming film, "Walking with Dinosaurs: The 3D Movie".
Macmillan has bought UK and Commonwealth rights from BBC Worldwide in the property, and will publish its first titles in November.
The initial titles will be: Walking with Dinosaurs Dinopedia, a hardback full-colour encyclopaedic guide to the dinosaurs that feature in the film, priced £9.99; Walking with Dinosaurs Handbook, a film handbook which combines non-fiction with key plot elements and details on the movie's major characters, priced £6.99; and Walking with Dinosaurs Sticker Books, priced £3.99.
Editorial director for non-fiction Gaby Morgan said: "We are really excited to have done this publishing deal. Everyone, whatever their age, loves and is perennially fascinated by dinosaurs. 'Walking with Dinosaurs' is a fantastic brand and the new film is destined to become a classic family favourite."
The film is a BBC Earth and Evergreen Films production, set for global release in December.
The original BBC television series has been watched by 700 million viewers in more than 130 countries, according to the publishers.
