Labour wins book trade’s backing as poll shows opinions hugely swayed by Brexit

The book trade has made its thoughts known in regards to which way it will likely be voting on 12th December in the coming general election, the fourth national vote in five years.

The publishing industry is renowned for its liberal leanings, and more than two-thirds of The Bookseller’s poll of 159 respondents said they would be turning out for either Labour or the Liberal Democrats, with 38.4% pledging their vote to Labour, and 30.2% backing the Lib Dems.
