Elle McNicoll, Caley Routledge, Dorothy Koomson, Amanda Harris and TM Logan are among the line-up for this year’s Writers’ Summit at the London Book Fair (LBF).
The one-day conference is for writers who are interested in understanding more about the book industry and will take place the day before the fair on Monday 9th March at Novotel London West. Speakers include Abiola Bello, Michael R Miller, Tory Lyne-Pirkis, Samar Habib, Eve Wersocki Morris, Melanie Crawford and leading experts from Curtis Brown Creative Writing School, BookBrunch, The Alliance of Independent Authors and Writing Show Podcast.
Topics discussed on the day will include indie publishing versus traditional, the journey of a book, tips from self-published authors, creating a standout book brand, audiobooks and more.
During LBF, the Author HQ programme will return with another line-up of talks and panels featuring Emma Gannon, Dorothy Koomson, AA Dhand, TL Swan, Logan, McNicoll, Natasha Poliszczuk, Caley Routledge, Zubs, Nathanael Lessore, Simon Woolf, Sarah Gristwood, alongside industry experts from Orion, HarperCollins, BBC National Short Story Award, Nosy Crow, The Bookseller, Bard Books and the Women’s Prize.

Talks will cover a wide range of topics, including a behind-the-scenes look into the writing lives of authors, how writers can hold their space in the literary world, Substack’s growing influence, the children’s book market, routes into non-fiction publishing and short stories. Author HQ will be sponsored by Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), with sessions featuring self-published authors and KDP experts providing advice and guidance for authors.
The Illustrators’ Afternoon, programmed by the Association of Illustrators, will return on Wednesday 11th March, featuring essential panels covering subjects such as cover design, illustrated books and working with illustrators.
