The newly created role will see him lead campaigns and brand strategy for the company’s lifestyle list and work closely with Piatkus non-fiction publisher Zoe Bohm on author acquisition.

He joins Little, Brown on 29th November, leaving PRH where he has been working as senior campaign manager for Penguin Life and Penguin Business.

Tamsin Kitson, group publicity and marketing director, said: “We’ve had a brilliant 18 months with our lifestyle publishing and have seen significant growth and multiple top 10 bestsellers over that period. We intend to build on these successes with even more ambitious focus on this area and this new role is key to that. We are absolutely delighted to have Matthew join us and have no doubt that his expertise and experience will make a significant impact.”

Crossey added: “I am thrilled to join such a dynamic, forward-thinking publisher at a very exciting time in its evolution. Piatkus has fast become the ‘go to’ for creative lifestyle publishing and I look forward to working alongside the innovative team and inspiring list of authors.”
