Collins has bought the A-Z list and rights to publish its mapping brand, taking the range "into the twenties and beyond".
The deal, which kicked in on 1st January, will see Collins work with the Geographers’ A-Z Map Co to maintain its mapping resources, publish, distribute and sell its A-Z products across all sectors and formats including digital data.
Collins Geo m.d. Sheena Barclay, said: "This move brings together two of the most iconic, trusted and longest standing mapping brands in the UK, with a heritage spanning more than 200 years in the market. The Collins team are excited to take the household mapping name A-Z forward into the twenties and beyond."
Collins has already published The A-Z History of London and A-Z Puzzle Book in 2019, with further books to follow in 2020 including a new London A-Z Street Atlas.

We are also refreshing the street maps range and bringing out 12 brand new pocket maps for major towns across the country. A-Z maps are and will continue to be the trusted source for navigating around Britain’s streets."
