Blackwell's is back online after a systems outage which lasted 10 days.
The bookseller tweeted on 8th October it was "relieved" to report the website was now back up and running. The retailer's website had been inactive since the morning of 28th September and the chain was unable to receive external emails. Blackwell's had blamed a systems outage for the problems.
Blackwell's tweeted: "We are doing all that we can to get through the backlog of dispatches and to answer your queries as speedily as possible. Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this has caused."
On Facebook the bookseller added: "Thank you for your understanding and patience and for all the messages of support we’ve received too. It means a lot. It’s good to be back, and we do very much hope that you will continue to enjoy buying and reading books from Blackwell’s."
The Bookseller has approached Blackwell's for a comment.
